Break Through Tech

Maybe you’re interested in a career in tech and trying to figure out where to start. Or maybe you want to learn skills that will make you a competitive applicant in the future job market – regardless of your field.

Meet Break Through Tech DC at UMD – our goal is to create a more inclusive tech ecosystem, starting right here in College Park. We do that by offering programs that help college students like you launch their careers through innovative courses, opportunities to work with tech companies, and networking events with like-minded students and working professionals.

Mission Statement

Break Through Tech works at the intersection of academia and industry to propel more women and underrepresented communities into computing degrees and careers. Our goal is to achieve gender equality in tech.

Break Through Tech's signature programs – Summer Guild and Sprinternship – offer students the opportunity to network with industry professionals, build community on campus, and see how tech skills fit into their career paths.
